 Building on the success of Story Starter TV, this sequel brings you a whole new set of visual resources to be used to promote creative writing in the classroom.
Story Starter TV 2 is presented in a cutting edge TV wall which comprises over 120 photographs, handpicked for their use in promoting writing and directly related to the Primary Literacy Framework. The photographs are high quality, content rich and often thought provoking, meaning their use could extend to other areas of the curriculum, such as PHSCE and art.
In this latest version we’ve also included 24 short video clips to be used in a similar way and of course there are 25 professional soundtracks to add atmosphere to the settings and stories you create.
Scroll through the TV wall to find an image that suits your purpose, add further atmosphere by experimenting with sounds tracks. Pupils can then either use the scene as the basis for story planning, to create a story opener, to develop their descriptive skills or simple to develop their understanding of a range of settings.
Each photograph, video and sound track is individually numbered so that you can recreate your Story Starters over and over again. Try Photo 92 with Track 10 to create a foreboding cave adventure, Photo 99 with Track 20 for the makings of a great party or Photo 86 with Track 18 for the start of a comedy episode.
